Accommodation Options

Lagganlia has a range of comfortable accommodation set in a beautiful wooded and large lawned site, sleeping to a maximum group size of 125.

Adventure and Expedition groups can stay with us on a full board basis in our Main Centre, or in one of our 5 forest lodges.  It may be possible, especially for smaller groups, to stay in one of our forest lodges on a self catering basis. Our Full Board option includes 3 main meals (breakfast with hot option, packed lunch, 2-course hot dinner or high tea) and a light supper for each full day that you stay with us.

An Taigh Mór (‘the big house’) has upstairs bedrooms to sleep 58 which include 2 x 6 bedded (3 sets of bunks) and 11 x 4 bedded (2 sets of bunk beds) en-suite rooms and 2 single bedded en-suite rooms. The bedrooms are not wheelchair accessible, however, we have a lodge (Hillend, 18 beds) that is designed to be as accessible as possible for a wide range of abilities. Downstairs there is a large common room with audio visual capabilities and games tables (on request), a coffee bar, a small library and audio visual room and, for groups who have supervising staff members attending (e.g. youth groups) a dedicated visiting staff room. The main dining room and Centre offices are also located in this building. Visiting groups should note that there are no self catering facilities (to prepare evening snacks etc) in this building.

There are 5 Forest Lodges scattered throughout the grounds, all with full kitchen facilities and their own lounge/dining rooms with TV/DVD players and Freesat. The sleeping arrangements range from 6 to 20 in a mix of configurations from twin rooms to 6 ( 3 bunk beds) bedded rooms.  Some of the lodges have en-suite rooms and some have facilities which are adjacent to/shared by a number of bedrooms.

Groups visiting on a full board basis should note that although we will endeavour to allocate your preferred accommodation to you, we do reserve the right to allocate/re-allocate accommodation for your group based on your group's needs and the needs of our other guests.

Full board groups resident in lodges may eat their meals in their lodge or may be allocated a separate sitting in the An Taigh Mór dining room.

We provide
  • Non feather bedding (duvets), sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers.
  • In Forest Lodges: T-towels and a small supply of washing up liquid, and for lodges which have the relevant appliances, a starter supply of dishwasher powder and washing powder.
  • You will need to bring your own towels
