This is a free weekend at Lagganlia ( up to 4 free staff per school) intended
for leaders of groups who have a forthcoming booking at Lagganlia or who are
considering a booking. The object of the weekend is to familiarise leaders with
the location and the activities.
Some places will be reserved for leaders who are considering a booking at
Lagganlia but have yet to take the plunge. We hope that this introduction to
the Lagganlia experience will help to make up your minds.
A number of workshops will be on offer that will explore the potential of a
number of different approaches to outdoor education, these could include John
Muir Trust Award Scheme, Earth Education, A Theme Approach to Outdoor education
eg using the children's book "The Desperate Journey"
The "Teddy Bears Picnic" Course for very young children (P3)
There will also be a chance to sample some of the activities that you might
wish to include in your course.
