The Main Building. . .
Edinburgh Lodge was built in the early 1970's and is a two story cedar clad
building sleeping 54 people. None of the rooms sleeps any more than 4 people,
and there are two single bedded rooms . Sleeping accommodation is all on the
first floor and this building is not suitable for disabled clients.

For the most part the pattern of rooms is for two 4 bedded students rooms to be
adjacent to a 2 bedded leader's room. We do not have a male or female section
but accommodate students so that toilet and shower facilities are single sex.
The building has had a recent upgrade of fire safety facilities and there is a
smoke detector in every room.
On the ground floor there is a large common room area, a students coffee bar (
tea and coffee available all the time on a do it yourself basis), a library , a
games room ( pool table and table football), and a large dining room that can
seat 55 people. There is an indoor climbing wall in one of the stairwells. Our
small shop selling confectionery and souvenirs is located near the front door
of this building.
Administration and the main stores are also situated in the main building.
