Raft Guide Training Course

Ł360 Plus registration fees.

This course is open to candidates who are already atleast level one. Candidates can expect to raft a variety of Scottish rivers from grade two up to grade five. Training is given in raft guiding, and rescue and capsize procedures.

The course is continuously assessed and candidates will be graded at the level at which they demonstrate competence. Most participants with little previous experience can expect to leave with a level 2 or level 3 award.

Canoe and Kayak Safety Tests

18th to 22nd Sept 2006

Cost: Ł80 non residential

This award is a prerequisite for level 2 coach training awards. Candidates can be trained and assessed in either or both disciplines provided that they hold a 2 star award in the relevant discipline. Be prepared to spend a lot of time in rather than on the water over the weekend.

Kayak 2 Star Testing

2 Star is a prerequisite for the canoe and kayak safety tests.
